Candy Gift Baskets

Candy you ate as a kid?? Gift Basket - red tin pail
This gift basket
is such a blast to give. Not only are you giving the recipient candy, but you are taking them down a trip on memory lane. I have spent hours reminiscing over the content of this basket with friends, talking about how we used to walk down to the penny candy store and buy saucers and candy cigarettes. We pretended to smoke, and that we were bad (in a good way), just like the older high school kids.

This particular basket is a general old-school candy gift basket. It includes 36 different candies and four retro toys. Here are the contents of the basket:

  • Atomic Fireball
  • Bazooka Bubble Gum
  • Bit-O-Honey 6-piece bar
  • Black Taffy
  • Bottle Caps roll
  • Bubble Gum Cigar
  • Candy Buttons
  • Candy Cigarettes
  • Candy Necklace
  • Caramel Creams
  • Chiclets 2-piece box
  • Coconut Neapolitan Sundae
  • Chuckles
  • Bomomo’s Turkish Taffy
  • Hot Dog Gum
  • Jawbreaker
  • Jelly Nougat
  • Jujyfruits

  • I’m pretty sure this gift basket has the most items in it that I’ve ever seen in a basket. That’s 40 items altogether! The price is right as well at $39.99.

Be sure to explore Old Time Candy’s website before you buy. They have candy gift baskets for each decade starting with the 1920s (and pre-1920s) and extending to the 1990s. You can also buy the candy and retro toys individually, or make your own bag. They have cheap party favors too.

If you couldn’t already tell I’m completely enamored with this site. They took a great idea and executed it well, adding enough flexibility for personalization. This works great as a birthday gift, but also for father’s day, mother’s day, Christmas, and really almost any other occasion.

    See’s Candy Gift Baskets

If you would rather get a little more personal and make your own, super high quality gift basket check out See’s Candies (see banner below):

    See's Candies, Inc.

On that site you can search for gifts by occasion and by price, a great option if you’re limited by funds.

What you’ll find consistently with these searches are candies beloved by many (as you can see with 1,000+ happy reviews of some products) and truly unique.

You’ll find lollipops–but not just any lollipops. These are pops made for adults and flavored chocolate, root bear, vanilla, and cafe latte. You’ll also find melt-in-your mouth delicious peanut brittle (my personal favorite) and toffee-ettes (toffee, almonds, milk chocolate) as well as boxes of assorted chocolates.

A great see’s gift basket created by you could have some of the following ingredients:

    1. Peanut Brittle
    2. A box of assorted chocolates hand picked by you
    3. Toffee-ettes
    4. See’s sturdy mug (which comes with cafe latte pops–yum!)
    5. All contained within a See’s returnable tote bag

There’s much much more that you can discover to make your own See’s candy gift baskets on the website. Your mouth will be watering before 5 minutes goes by, I promise!
